2010 has been a turning point for SDP both to begin making profits and to build its first two biogas COGEN plants in its Test Center in Carson City. The plant built for the Minden District near SDP in Carson City is up and running very successfully (see “news” on home page).
To date, SDP has installed and is operating COGEN plants in key market sectors such as hotels, hospitals, universities, schools, process plants, and data centers. Our customers are thrilled to be going “green” by taking CO2 out of the air, while reaping significant savings on their power bills. The average run time of all SDP installations exceeds 90% of available hours. This is because the plants were only installed in suitable applications and sized correctly based on the therm loads at the sites.
SDP is experiencing three advantages over its competition:

• Our state-of-the-art remote monitoring and control system ensures optimum plant balance and operation
• Our closed loop design ensures less maintenance and higher run hours
• Our full service maintenance program, executed by the experienced SDP service technicians, ensures minimum down time   

SDP is in its 7th year of operation and expects 2011 to be a banner year for sales and profits. We continue to be active in the hospitality space and will add more and more biogas plants in landfill, waste water and industrial processing waste.
SDP corporate slogan of “energy savings today and a greener world for our children” has never been more true as SDP continues to replace dirty and inefficient utility plant grid power.
